For several weeks in the summer of 2005 I was in Mexico. The first part of the trip was scuba diving and ruins in Cozumel and Quintana Roo with my Dad - a phenomenal experience. The second was school in Cuernavaca, an excruciating and dangerous experience. Cuernavaca is, without a doubt, one of the worst places I've ever been - and that's saying something. However, some of the side trips made it more bearable, as you can see.

My trip to Chile during July of 2004, in part to participate in the centennial celebration of Pablo Neruda's birth. I spent the first week celebrating, participating, and spending time with Martin Espada and his camera crew, and the rest of it studying.
